Standoff in Tustin approaches eighth hour | L.A. NOW | Los Angeles Times: Unions strike again.

“An Orange County man angry that his car was being repossessed rammed a tow truck with a vehicle early Wednesday and then barricaded himself inside his home, where he has been locked in a standoff with police for more than seven hours.”

This is why the county, and state are going broke. Union workers NOT doing their jobs, again! (Yes, I realize that they think standing around with their heads up their ass is their job) Hello! Restore order you Union hacks.

“We are still going to keep negotiating,” [Orange County sheriff's spokesman Jim] Amormino said. “No matter how long it takes.”

No doubt that overtime pay has kicked in; so there is no need to rush to restore order. Union hacks, do your job. Unreal.

There are reports that the man was recently released from prison after being arrested for allegedly making terrorist threats. from KTLA

Fox news is reporting that he is out on bail. Just peachy.

Patricia Neal dies at 84

Patricia Neal in Hud

Obituary: Patricia Neal dies at 84; Oscar-winning actress – latimes.com:

“Actress Patricia Neal, who rebuilt a troubled career to win an Academy Award only to face a more desperate battle for survival when three strokes left her paralyzed and unable to speak or remember, has died. She was 84.”

A very underrated actress, who won an Oscar when it had meaning. Patricia Neal had a tough life, some of it her own doing, much of it not.

Her unhappiness was growing, too, because of her futile romance with Cooper.

“He was married,” she pointed out 30 years later, “and declined to leave his wife. And rightly so.” Some published accounts suggested that the affair led her to a nervous breakdown.

You won’t hear that in Hollywood these days. A sad day for film fans.

ABC Announcers Suck

It is amazing how biased the announcers are on ABC. It is clear they desperately wanted Texas to lose the Big-12 Championship. The constant demeaning commentary, mixed with crowing about how great Nebraska was; made me want to puke. Even with the terrible announcing it is still enjoyable to watch. I am running on the last leg of my battery, instead of going upstairs to charge my laptop, so I can watch all of the game.

Maybe next time the ABC idiots will stop doing the PR work for whatever player they like on Texas’ opponent adn just call the game. Yea right.

MackBrown-TexasFootball.com:

“AUSTIN, Texas — Administrators at Texas and Notre Dame have been discussing reuniting on the football field for a long period of time, and now, two of the winningest programs in NCAA history have been able to work out a four-game series beginning in 2015, the schools announced on Thursday. Texas ranks second on the NCAA all-time victory list (845) and Notre Dame is third (837).”

Sweet! I am looking forward to putting a beat down on the arrogant Irish.

The series will kickoff with Texas traveling to South Bend on Sept. 5, 2015. Notre Dame is slated to head to Austin on Sept. 3, 2016, and again on Aug. 31, 2019. The Longhorns return to South Bend on Sept. 12, 2020.

Is it cold in South Bend in Sept? Time to contact my contacts and get tickets!
