Cheaters, liars, and dopers

No it’s not politics, it’s sports.

No wonder Notre Dame can’t win

The cheaters from New England have now decided that all sportsman-like behavior is now out the window. This weekend they ran up the score, and then blamed the Redskins for the large score.

This is the same group of “people” who broke the rules and videotaped opposing teams coaches. They won’t come clean on how long they have been doing it. Anyone else thinking … oh say about 4 years?

The cheaters kept in their first stringers for the entire game, even though it was quite clear the Redskins had no shot. Beyond the stupidity of putting your best players at risk for no reason, they seem to forget that players don’t like being humiliated, and tend to look for chances to get back at the people who humiliated them. It also would seem that anyone playing the cheaters in the future is not going to show them any respect.

I for one am not surprised at the attitude of the New England cheaters. Nothing new for them.

Poor Notre Dame is wondering why their coach has a worse record than Gerry Faust. Most likely because the Irish take a dim view of cheating.

San Diego Padres Pill Poppers

Center fielder Mike Cameron has been suspended for first 25 games next year for failing — the second time — a test for banned substances. Particularly a stimulant. He swears it’s not steroids.

“It’s a tough pill to swallow,” added Cameron.

Uh-huh.

Oh yeah, he’s played drunk before also.

“Sh-t, I’ve played drunk.”

When?

“New York City.”

What were the circumstances?

“I went four for four with two jacks and eight ribbies. I’m not saying that’s the only day I played drunk, but that was the best one.”

That is from an interview with Todd Gallagher.

So we have the drunk in center field. We have the idiot Milton Bradley, who btw knocked himself and Cameron out of the playoffs when blowing up at an umpire. Bradley is known for his temper and paranoia; and everyone asked when the Pads picked him up if he would be trouble. He is, and was, and will be.

Once again it seems as though San Diego has nice owners, who don’t want to win.

Government Slackers Fight Back

CALFIRE, and Forestry service blaming everyone else for their failures

The debate is still raging over why helicopters were not put to use during the recent firestorm earlier than they were. As I have blogged, I believe it’s CALFIRE and it’s bureaucrats that are the problem. Instead of doing their jobs, they had their nose stuck in a rule book they wrote that protects CALFIRE’s favored contractors. CALFIRE is a classic example of why government should be small, and on a short leash.

Same old Excuses for failure

Once again we have the same tired old excuse that it’s not CALFIRE’s fault, and that the Marines and Navy are to blame. Remember these guys fly more time than any of the CALFIRE folks. They also fly more dangerous missions than the CALFIRE folks do.

The head of the state’s firefighting agency lashed out at the Marines and U.S. Forest Service, saying the military had failed to commit to the training necessary to launch helicopters more quickly. The Forest Service had neglected to provide enough helicopter managers to launch the aircrafts when they became available, he said.

You may remember that same excuse from the last fire catastrophe we had. CALFIRE kept claiming that the Marines and Navy were not qualified to fly a bucket of water and dump it on a target. What a joke.

Bureacrats Feelings hurt

Poor government workers, it’s so tough being overpaid and then having to perform, and failing miserably. Boo-hoo.

“We’re getting all of this criticism and I don’t want to get into saying it should have been the Forest Service, should have been the Marines,” said Ruben Grijalva, chief of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection. “But that’s why I’m talking today because it’s affecting the morale of this organization.”

No Ruben, it’s your failure as the head of CALFIRE that is causing this. You failed at your job; the real one — protecting the public — , not the job you think you have — Union shill, and protector of special interests.

No really we tried

Add to this the bullcrap being pumped out by the entrenched bureaucrats at the Fed levels. The same dummies who won’t clear brush without 3 gazillion town hall meetings.

The Forest Service disputed Grijalva’s claim, saying that providing fire spotters for Marines wasn’t solely a federal responsibility. Forest Service officials also cast doubt on assertions by members of the military and several members of California’s Congressional delegation that the Marine helicopters were ready days before they were called into action.

They were ready on Monday, they did not get to fly till Thursday. Let’s see, one, two, three DAYS. Dumbass.

Look over there at them

More Union/bureaucrat bullcrap. Notice the Union/Gov employees are circling the wagons? More proof we have too much government. It’s clear they know they failed and are desperately trying to shift blame.

Dennis Hulbert, Regional Aviation Officer for the U.S. Forest Service in California, said the Marines were primarily responsible for the delay .

“They had their own problems,” he said.

According to Hulbert, it took the Marines a day to outfit their helicopters with buckets to fight the fires. Once they did, they directed those resources first to fight fires on military land. It wasn’t until Thursday that they were used to fight fires elsewhere in Southern California, he said.

Oh brother. It took CALFIRE 4 days to ok them to fly. What a crock of crap.

Calls to the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing at Miramar Marine base were not immediately returned Saturday. However, according to a letter dated May 10, the base had 38 helicopter pilots trained and ready to support the Forest Service in firefighting efforts.

“We are overwhelmed with bureaucratic regulations and the spotters are the best example of that,” said U.S. Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, R-Huntington Beach. “In a time of crisis, the rules did not serve our country well … the bureaucrats lost picture of what their mission is, to protect the citizens.”

Amen!

How can a license be secure if illegal aliens can get one? It can’t. That’s not stopping Bush from selling out our country to the highest bidder, though.

Bush Admin makes deal with Dems to issue NY DLs to illegals. It’s clear that Bush does not give a damn about his country. It’s also clear that he is just like his father, without a moral compass. No doubt big business is cheering this bit of news.

The governor made clear he is going forward with his plan allowing licenses for illegal immigrants. But advocates on both sides of the debate said Spitzer had caved to pressure by adopting the administration’s stance on tighter security standards for most driver’s licenses.

In other worlds Spitzer didn’t give a damn who received the license, he just wanted the fees. Bush and his idiot brigade came to his rescue and gave him cover with this idiotic plan of “super secure” licenses.

Neither Bush nor Spitzer seem to give a damn about Americans.

Firestorm Fades.

Life is better

There are only a few people left at the Q, about 400 or so. Those still there will be relocated to Del Mar (fairgrounds). It’s amazing what people can do when they pull together and don’t wait on the government to do it. No doubt the government helped, but it was people relying upon themselves to make a difference that made the difference. We didn’t wait for the feds, we did it ourselves. A lesson for the rest of the country, I believe.

I am tired. The smoke is getting to me, sore throat, and really drained. I will try to update as often as I can.

To everyone who helped, thank you.

Places still evacuated

- Lake Henshaw
- Mesa Grande
- La Jolla Indian Reservations
- West of Hellhole Canyon and north of Palomar Mountain
- South of Bear Valley and Rancho Santa Ysabel and east of Montezuma Valley

how’s it look

Bush is Mad

Says the LAT. No really they said that. In this article called: Straightjacket Bush

Liberals, put it behind you. George W. Bush and Dick Cheney shouldn’t be treated like criminals who deserve punishment. They should be treated like psychotics who need treatment.

This is what passes for intellectual discourse in the liberal set.

First they lie:

Because they’ve clearly gone mad. Exhibit A: We’re in the middle of a disastrous war [a lie] in Iraq, the military and political situation in Afghanistan is steadily worsening, [not true, things are actually looking up, and the problems we are having is due to Iran, hmmm] and the administration’s interrogation and detention tactics have inflamed anti-Americanism and fueled extremist movements around the globe [not true, liberal papers have done that, along with radical extremist Islama-fascists who get cover from the likes of the LAT]

Second they pontificate:

Sane people, confronting such a situation, do their best to tamp down tensions, rebuild shattered alliances, find common ground with hostile parties and give our military a little breathing space. But crazy people? They look around and decide it’s a great time to start another war.

So Rosa Brooks, now knows the mind of Bush and Cheney? How so, pray tell. Oh and maybe you didn’t notice, it’s Iran that is starting the war.

Third they obfuscate:

That would be with Iran, and you’d have to be deaf not to hear the war drums. Last week, Bush remarked that “if you’re interested in avoiding World War III . . . you ought to be interested in preventing [Iran] from having the knowledge necessary to make a nuclear weapon.” On Sunday, Cheney warned of “the Iranian regime’s efforts to destabilize the Middle East and to gain hegemonic power . . . [we] cannot stand by as a terror-supporting state fulfills its most aggressive ambitions.” On Tuesday, Bush insisted on the need “to defend Europe against the emerging Iranian threat.”

Huh? Iran is now a major threat to Europe? The Iranians are going to launch a nuclear missile (that they don’t yet possess) against Europe (for reasons unknown because, as far as we know, they’re not mad at anyone in Europe)? This is lunacy in action.

Funny Jimmy Carter blamed Bush for not stopping 9/11, even though everyone who was listening knew it was coming. Bush was not in office long enough to do anything about it, it was Clinton who failed.

Fourth it trots out some quack to back up it’s premise:

Writing in Newsweek on Oct. 20, Fareed Zakaria, a solid centrist and former editor of Foreign Affairs, put it best. Citing Bush’s invocation of “the specter of World War III if Iran gained even the knowledge needed to make a nuclear weapon,” Zakaria concluded that “the American discussion about Iran has lost all connection to reality. . . . Iran has an economy the size of Finland’s. . . . It has not invaded a country since the late 18th century.

Did you note they lied there also? Iran has not invaded a country since the late 18th century. I am sure the Iraqis would have a different take on that, as most likely would Pakistan. Oh and Fareed Zakaria? Well have you ever seen a Conservative or moderate get a write up in the Village Voice? Neither have I. Even though the Village Voice says he is conservative, he is not. The Nation, described him as “junior Kissinger”. The reason? Instead of blaming Islama-fascist for the terror, he blamed the U.S. Not exactly a Conservative or clued up if you ask me.

Now why did they bring up the economy? To make Iran look weak. Just the type of country that would use nuclear weapons, by the way. Why you ask? Remember when Iran took hostages and Carter failed to bring them home (I am pretty sure we were proportionally as large then, as now) due to his own failed policies?

Well President Ima Dinner Jacket has said several times that he wants to wipe Israel off the map. Guess that is ok with liberals. Connect the dots people. Germany wanted to do that also.

Fifth lie some more:

Israel and every Arab country (except Syria and Iraq) are . . . allied against Iran. And yet we are to believe that Tehran is about to overturn the international system and replace it with an Islamo-fascist order? What planet are we on?”

Iraq is not allied against Iran? Since when?

What is sad is that instead of dealing with this serious threat from Iran, the LAT once again covers up the evil in Islam. Anything to attack Bush, no matter the cost. They don’t care about the U.S. They only care about hating Bush, and Conservatives, and to a lesser degree Republicans.

Iran is a deadly threat, and must be dealt with, and not the way Carter did it. He was and is a failure. So is Clinton. They both almost caused the end of the US and the Western world.
