I represent The San Diego Union-Tribune and reporter, Penni Crabtree. As part of your January 25, 2008, blog, you provide the following false and defamatory statements:
“San Diego Union Tribune Reporter being sued.
Is Penni Crabtree a Crooked Reporter?
San Diego Union Tribune writer Penni Crabtree is accused of taking money from Idexx Laboratories to discredit a competitor, CYNTEGRA.”
Penni Crabtree is not being sued. Furthermore, no credible source has ever accused her of taking money from Idexx to discredit a competitor. That statement is simply false and is defamatory. Raising the question, “Is Penni Crabtreea Crooked Reporter,” is also defamatory. We demand that you immediately remove these statments from your website. We have submitted a 5 page retraction demand to Mass Media Distribution newswire and Mr. Brodie.
