Today was the day for “Earth Hour”. Who knew? I didn’t. It seems that some did, and once again Google proves how insipid they can be, going along with a meaningless stunt. No doubt many of the fools that participated in this will think them heros.

Los Angeles Times is reporting that the Oceanside Police Department is defending it’s handling of the shooting of a mother and her son by an off-duty San Diego Police officer two weeks ago Saturday.
Rachel Silva is still not talking to Police about her run in with the law in Oceanside. She has found time to file a complaint and research police procedures so she could recommend wholesale modifications in the San Diego Police Department’s operations: off-duty, hiring, firing, personnel management, weapons carry policies and procedures.

No, I am not kidding. A women who has two DUI convictions and was out driving on a suspended license has decided that cops need to be evaluated for psychological issues. Oh yeah, this same “good citizen” has still NOT talked to police about the incident to which she filed a complaint about today. Unreal, the arrogance of some people.

Rachel Silva
Rachel Silva was shot by an off-duty San Diego PD officer over a week ago in a Lowe’s parking lot. Although she was driving on a suspended license (two convictions for DUI), she claims to not remember what happened. Confused, so am I.

News is slowly being released about the “road rage” shooting incident. Word is that the officer fired 5 times. Two of the bullets hit the woman. How many hit the boy is unknown. Why any of this happened is unknown. As far as I know the women is still not talking.
