Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed executive order and cuts wages and lays off workers.
SACRAMENTO (AP) – Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed an executive order that eliminates thousands of state positions and cuts the pay of government employees to minimum wage.
The Union’s are upset they are being used as pawns. They seem to not care that they use us Taxpayers as pawns all the time. The liberal media is kissing the liberal Unions ass.
“We would be better off if he just laid us off. Then we could be on
welfare, and get food stamps; this would be better than getting the Federal minimum wage.”
Funny they are crying poverty, yet they can take time off to create an “informational picket.” Hmmm.
The Comptroller is pandering to Unions and says he will not pay the wage. This of course means an immediate lawsuit and more wasted money. Thank you liberals.
Too bad Bush and Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger have waited so long to do this. Little late.

Ooops! Long Beach PD shoots LAPD officer.
An armed man who was shot by a Long Beach police officer this morning on Mira Mar Avenue was an off-duty officer with the Los Angeles Police Department, a high-ranking LAPD official with knowledge of the investigation confirmed.
Details are sketchy. The office is said to be in critical condition and stable.
It seems that the LAPD officer was walking along Mira Mesa avenue with his weapon visible. No details as to why he was there, or why he was deemed so suspicious that the residents called police.
An early report from CBS says:
“Officers responded to a report of a man walking down the street with a firearm,” said Zapalski, speaking from the scene of the shooting. “They contacted the man and an officer-involved shooting occurred.”
LBPD is not talking, other than to say that the man was located, and no reason as to why anyone was shooting.
One officer struck the suspect and wounded him, Zapalski said.
The suspect was taken to a hospital where he was still alive at 2:45 a.m., Zapalski said. No officers were injured.
Well maybe not.
Better hope your DA is not like Bonnie Dumanis and looking to get re-elected.

Unreal. Bonnie Dumanis must be desperate to get elected. She is pandering to the lefty loons in San Diego by charging Office Frank White. Un … F’N … Real. It took her a year to make a decision on Aaron Mansker, and suddenly she can whip out a report in a 3 months? How convenient, that it is just in time for an election.
Charges filed by Idiot DA Bonnie Dumanis

12:15 pm PST — Cell Phones are overloaded. If you are in the SoCal Area, please stay off the cell phones. Use IMs people!

I did not see ANY trains running driving from O’sdie to John Wayne Airport and back. I left at 3:30pm and arrived back at 5:45pm. After further reading of the update on metro’s site, it appears that only trains departing LA (Union Station). LAT says no OC/Oside trains.

From the LA City Council:
“And there goes the earthquake — earthquake, earthquake, earthquake!” said [councilman Dennis] Zine, as members of the audience began to cry out. “The building is rolling!”
Classic. Don’t worry, they passed the tax hike (video here, skip to 2:20 on timeline for the best part). An earthquake won’t stop that.
