Obama Admin decided to have a photo-op that re-enacted 9/11 and scared the hell out of NYC. Nice job dumbasses. NYT calls it total panic and they love Obama.

Photo-Op causes hysteria over NYC

A Boeing airplane escorted by a military jet flew low over lower Manhattan on Monday, frightening office workers and spurring evacuations in what turned out to be a U.S. government-approved publicity operation.

The maneuvering of the 747, which circled around some skyscrapers, recalled memories of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, which resulted in the deaths of thousands after two hijacked commercial airplanes rammed into the World Trade Center. Onlookers and evacuated workers said they were incredulous that government agencies didn’t issue an advisory to alert a public still scarred from 9/11.

Obama and his minions are morons.

The U.S. Air Force confirmed that an “aerial photo mission,” which involved an F-16 fighter jet, had been carried out Monday in the area of New York City by the Presidential Airlift Group, which according to the White House Web site is responsible for maintaining and operating presidential airliner Air Force One.

“This mission was conducted in conjunction with normally scheduled continuation training for assigned aircrew members,” the Air Force said in a statement. The mission was scheduled to last from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. EDT.

A spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration said the maneuver wasn’t an emergency and was coordinated in advance with state and local officials. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates bridges, tunnels and airports in the area, said initially the agency had no knowledge of the low-flying plane, according to a spokesman. But several Port Authority executives, who spoke on condition of anonymity due to an ongoing investigation, said that the agency received a memo from the FAA, but not until sometime Monday morning.

Unreal. Do you need anymore proof these people are idiots? You shouldn’t.

Now the finger-pointing has begun. The FAA is directing questions to the Air Force, who is in turn directing questions to the White House. The only problem: The White House apparently doesn’t know anything either. Asked at the press briefing this afternoon if the White House owes the citizens of New York City an apology, Gibbs said he’d seen some news reports but knew zilch about it.

If this was Bush, the media would be calling the Press Secretary a liar, and bellowing about cover-ups. More proof the mainstream media is irrelevant.

Today’s Weird Stories

Cop says all cops should be Jedis

Pam Fleming says all cops should be Jedi Knights.

“For me, it is not a joke,” she said. “Being a Jedi is a way of life. I love the Star Wars films and the concept of being a Jedi, that the faith is not divisive.”

Ms Fleming said she knew of other Jedis in Strathclyde Police – the force apparently has eight in total, according to a recent survey.

She told The Sun she uses Jedi mind tricks to get the truth out of suspects during interviews.

I suppose you could call that advanced community policing. Maybe the other Jedi’s are using mind tricks on her?

See “our” beach

… it’s only 8 hours away, in another country, oops.

Canadian Province uses British Beach for Tourism ad.

A promotional video contains a clip of a boy and a girl running through sand dunes and tall grass on the beach, reports the Daily Telegraph.

The reality emerged after Peter Bailey, a Canadian boat enthusiast, spotted it on the internet and attempted to pinpoint the stretch of water concerned.

After a flurry of e-mails to tourism officials, he was informed that the area involved was in fact an eight-hour flight away.

I thought the Government was pure, and honest? I guess not.

Olga Guthrie, manager of the brand initiative for Alberta’s public affairs bureau, said: “This slide represents Albertans’ concern for the future of the world. There’s no attempt to make people think that the place pictured is Alberta.”

Yea, right.

Sheelagh Caygill, marketing executive at Northumberland Tourism, said: “We think it’s quite funny, a landlocked province in Canada presenting an image of itself as an island.

Maybe they think it’s a “state of mind?”

Relative dropped off at doorstep

Shark “dumped” on Australia Newspaper

Did he tip the Taxi Driver?

The fish – a Port Jackson shark – was said to be relatively harmless.

How ironic, a “relatively harmless” shark dumped on the door of a newspaper. That’s funny. Someone has a wicked sense of humor.

Obama lied, Freedom died

In another example of Barrack Obama’s hypocrisy, he has decided that keeping secrets is a good idea. This of course is in direct contradiction to his campaign rhetoric.

Promises, Promises: Obama keeps some Bush (sic Government) Secrets — funny how it’s “Bush” secrets and not “Government” secrets. Well not really, but you can’t really expect the AP to get over their Bush derangement syndrome this soon. I am surprised they even wrote about this.

President Barack Obama’s Justice Department quietly told a federal court in Washington last week that it would not second-guess the previous administration’s decisions to withhold some information about the bureau’s Investigative Data Warehouse.

Remember that the next time you hear that the Obama Admin wants to “help” you. They only want to control you, and these databases will help.

“In light of all the fanfare at the highest levels of the administration about a new transparency policy, it’s remarkable that not one word of additional material has been released as a result of that new policy,” said David Sobel, the foundation’s lawyer in the case.

The only people surprised by this are those that actually thought the Obama was telling the truth to begin with.

The administration’s handling of the decision fit a pattern that emerged this month: Highly visible announcements when Obama breaks with Bush policy in order to open hidden government files, but an almost stealthy rollout of decisions when Obama endorses secrecy.

Of course, the admin is in constant campaign mode. They are nothing but a PR machine. Ask yourself why the AP is not going apoplectic over this betrayal?

“There has been a lack of consistency on the part of the administration when it comes to secrecy issues,” said James Dempsey, vice president for public policy at the Center for Democracy and Technology, an open government advocate. “They do seem to be torn between two conflicting tendencies: One is openness and other is a control-the-news tendency. But it’s still early in the administration, so I cut them some slack for not having this fully thought out yet.”

They are nothing but a carnival. Big promises, with nothing but cheap prizes, unsafe rides, hidden dangers, and the only thing that matters is fleecing the locals.

The Obama admin knows that the media is NOT going to call them on this. They will print small and hidden pieces that are buried, but none of the hate-filled diatribes they directed at Bush.

The only time the Obama administration is for “Open Government” is when it hurts America.

On his first day in office, Obama reversed a policy on releasing government documents so there is a “presumption in favor of disclosure.” Attorney General Eric Holder promptly beat Obama’s deadline by two months for issuing new guidelines that urged release unless “foreseeable harm” would result.

With a flourish, the Justice Department has opened two batches of secret legal opinions crafted to support Bush’s anti-terrorism polices. Just Thursday, four Bush-era legal opinions that relaxed restrictions against torture of prisoners were made public, accompanied by a department news release and a statement from Obama.

When it hurts their control of us, they are against “Open Government.” This of course points out the problem with liberals, they have no morals or ethics. They only want to do what is best for themselves, no matter the cost to our country.

The article does go on to highlight more of the Obama hypocrisy, but is it couched as “policy” maneuvers. Can you imagine them being that nice to Bush? Neither can anyone else.

Iran style of Justice

fake-american-journalist-convicted-in-iran-caption
lefty journo convicted of spying

This must be why Obama admires Iran so much.

American “Journalist” convicted of spying in closed door court session. She received 8 years in Prison. No doubt they will make an offer to trade her for a real terrorist/spy.

Roxana Saberi’s Iranian-born father said his daughter was tricked into making incriminating statements by officials who told her they would free her if she did.

Can she be that stupid?

She appeared before an Iranian court behind closed doors on Monday in an unusually swift one-day trial. Her lawyer was permitted to attend, but had declined to discuss any details.

This is the type of Justice that the Obama administration would love to employ. Of course, it will only be against Christians, Conservatives, and anyone who opposes the Obamasiah. No doubt they will try to get us there, soon enough as they are well on their way.

The Fargo, North Dakota native had been living in Iran for six years and had worked as a freelance reporter for several news organizations including National Public Radio and the British Broadcasting Corp.

That shows just how stupid the Iranians are. No one working for the BBC or NPR is spying for America. The NPR and BBC hate America and love Muslim Terrorists and their supporters; like say Iran.

Del Mar to seek approval to drop Monday racing.

I can’t say this upsets me, however it is disturbing that California is in such bad shape that this is proposed at all.

Del Mar Arena gets new roof. It will showcased at the Del Mar National Horse Show. One of the few bright spots in Horse news.
