Pentagon Profiling Journalists.
See, told you so. This clown is out to squelch and if possible silence critics.
WASHINGTON — Contrary to the insistence of Pentagon officials this week that they are not rating the work of reporters covering U.S. forces in Afghanistan, Stars and Stripes has obtained documents that prove that reporters’ coverage is being graded as “positive,” “neutral” or “negative.”
Moreover, the documents — recent confidential profiles of the work of individual reporters prepared by a Pentagon contractor — indicate that the ratings are intended to help Pentagon image-makers manipulate the types of stories that reporters produce while they are embedded with U.S. troops in Afghanistan.
Odd, how the left loves to point at Nixon and tell us about “enemies lists,” and the FBI watching anyone who disagreed with the President (this BTW started under that liberal icon LBJ). I seem to recall the liberal media was wringing it’s hands, and crying out for “justice” in the Nixon years. Today the silence is deafening.
For those who did not study History, here is a list of other “leaders’ who did the same: Hitler, Mussolini, Castro, Mao Zedong, Pol Pot, Stalin, Lenin, and the list is endless.
Several professional journalists’ groups as well as media ethicists criticized the Pentagon’s attempts to rate and manipulate reporters. And at least one military official with knowledge of the profiling system has also begun to raise objections.
Those same “journalists” have no problem with manipulating the Public, they just don’t like it when it’s done to them.
“It’s troubling that the military is contracting a private PR firm, paid with U.S. taxpayer dollars, to profile individual reporters,” said one servicemember who declined to be identified for fear of official retribution. “It shows utter contempt for the Constitution, which we in the service pledge our lives to defend.”
On the one hand I applaud the Pentagon for finally putting out some effort to get Positive News stories out. The problem is that the stories are meant to make Obama look good, not win the War. That’s the problem.
Wake up America, you elected a Marxist.
BTW, the lefty loons in the White House don’t have the guts to go on Fox News, and they are a laughing stock.
It’s sad that this President has been and will be such a failure. He is putting our Country at risk, for his own personal gain. Disgusting.
