Videotaping Police Is Often Cause for Arrest – ABC News:

“In early April, state police officers raided Graber’s parents’ home in Abingdon, Md. They confiscated his camera, computers and external hard drives. Graber was indicted for allegedly violating state wiretap laws by recording the trooper without his consent.”

If you watch the video (see below), it is clear that the cops are trying to keep this kid from going after the “stormtrooper” cop who pulled him over.

This cop is clearly out of control. Why is a plain-clothes cop making traffic stops? Why is his gun drawn? This cop needs to be fired, immediately. His name is: Maryland State Trooper Joseph David Uhler. If you live in Maryland you might want to call your representatives and explain to them that you don’t approve of this type of irrational idiot carrying a badge, much less a gun on your payroll.

Carlos Miller is the only journo to interview Mr. Graber after he spent 26 hours in jail. The cops forced his mother to be late to her job, detained the family for 90 minutes while they invaded their privacy with a warrant that was NOT signed by a Judge. No one knows who the Judge is that issued the warrant.

“The judge who released me looked at the paperwork and said she didn’t see where I violated the wiretapping law.”

Makes you wonder what is going on in Maryland, and America.

That prompted Uhler to issue an arrest warrant against Graber, citing that “Graber did not inform Tfc. Uhler that he was recording him by video or audio, thus violating criminal law 10-402(b).”

The fact that the camera is right on top of his helmet, would seem to make it obvious. Oh and the cop hid his gun from a marked unit that pulled up behind. Clearly the cop is a thug, who must be fired.

That was when Graber was already exiting the interstate. When he came to a complete stop behind the other cars at the exit, Uhler cut him off and hopped out of his car with a gun drawn, never flashing a badge and not identifying himself as an officer until several seconds later.

Seems clear this idiot is a thug. He needs to go down.

Authorities missed chance to identify Grim Sleeper suspect two years before final known slaying | L.A. NOW | Los Angeles Times:

“Authorities missed an opportunity years ago to catch the suspected Grim Sleeper serial killer and end his alleged rampage before the final known victim was slain because his DNA was never collected as required under a 2004 law, according to interviews and records reviewed by The Times.

Lonnie David Franklin Jr.’s genetic profile was supposed to be added to the state’s DNA data bank of offenders because he was on probation for a felony when voters approved Proposition 69, a sweeping expansion of the state’s DNA collection authority.”

Gee, more proof that more laws do not work. If you don’t enforce the laws you have, then new laws DON’T work. Duh.

Maybe Jerry Brown should explain why he is not enforcing the laws that would have saved some people. Yea right, li.

Grim Sleeper suspect stayed below LAPD’s radar -
latimes.com:

“Probation reports show that Lonnie David Franklin Jr. repeatedly
cycled through the county’s justice system years before he was charged this week
with killing 10 women in South Los Angeles.”

It’s amazaing that someone who has been arrested so many times was able to
evade justice. You know the LAPD is not happy about this, at all. He was arrested
at least 15 times. He was called a serious criminal by the Police who urged Judges
to send him to prison.

In 2003, Los Angeles probation officers wrote that Franklin — then 50 — had admitted spending three decades as an active criminal and was back to his old ways when he was caught driving a luxury SUV stolen from the Glendale Galleria.

“If at this age the defendant is still engaging in criminal activities … the community can best be served by imposing the maximum time possible in state prison,” one probation officer wrote.

Unreal. Thanks a lot soft-on-crime California. Now we have Jerry Brown, a soft on crime liberal, who wants to be Governor. No Thanks!

LAPD make arrest in Grim Sleeper serial killings | L.A. NOW | Los Angeles Times:

“An arrest has been made in the Grim Sleeper serial killer case. The killer is believed responsible for 11 deaths over the last three decades. During a telephone interview with The Times, Dist. Atty. Steve Cooley identified the suspect as 51-year-old Lonnie David Franklin Jr.”

I am watching KCAL9 as this happens. They have to be the worst reporters on the planet. Three times the reporter (Dave Lopez) was told what the man’s name is (we all heard it), and he could not get it right until the 4th time. Unreal.

Neighbors are describing Mr Franklin as friendly and kind. One lady said she had slept in his Trailer out back. KCAL is saying he is a retired LAPD mechanic (unconfirmed by LAPD). Most neighbors say he was the street’s mechanic. One women says the man does not even look like the artist sketch.

UPDATE: Some women being interviewed said she just knew he was the guy who killed her friend. If she knew that there $500,000 reward she would have turned him in. Oh boy.

LAPD is saying that they have used a DNA technique known as “familiar” searching. I believe this is also called “partial match” DNA results.

Familiar searching, approved by Attorney General Jerry Brown at the urging of Cooley and other prosecutors, allows investigators to pursue partial genetic matches to crime scene evidence when the suspect’s DNA profile is not in the state database.

It won’t be long until Jerry Brown starts crowing about this event. I have no doubt this will be challenged in court.
