Israel heightened security across the country on Monday in anticipation of Palestinian demonstrations or other unrest, as thousands protested against Israel in Istanbul.

European capitals reacted more angrily. French President Nicolas Sarkozy expressed his “deep emotion in the face of the tragic consequences of Israel’s military operation.” In a statement, Mr. Sarkozy said he “condemns a disproportionate use of force.”
Britain’s Foreign Secretary, William Hague, said in a statement that the U.K. has asked for information about British citizens believed to be aboard the flotilla and called on Israel to lift its blockade of Gaza. “I deplore the loss of life,” he said, adding that “there is a clear need for Israel to act with restraint and in line with international obligations.”
As for Europe, they are a bunch of pussies. There is no need to “lift the blockade. All the terrorists had to do was to ask Israel to be allowed into the Gaza strip. They don’t wan’t to do that, they want to incite a war. As usual the idiots in Europe want to appease the terrorists. like I said, pussies.
U.S. State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said the U.S. “regret[s] the loss of life and injuries sustained in this incident. We’re working hard to determine what happened on board the ship.” Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will meet with the Israeli foreign minister in Washington on Tuesday, he added, so “we’ll have an opportunity to follow up directly tomorrow.”

Activists on board a six-ship flotilla carrying aid to the Gaza Strip tried to lynch the Israel Navy commandos who boarded their Turkish-flagged boat early Monday, Israel Defense Forces sources told Haaretz on Monday afternoon. At least nine people were killed and several more were wounded in the fighting that erupted aboard one of the ships.
The IDF confirmed that at least seven Navy commandos had been wounded, two of them seriously, in a fight which apparently broke out after activists tried to seize their weapons.
You won’t hear this from any of the terrorist sympathizers, like Europe.
The first rope that soldiers used in order to descend down to the ship was wrested away by activists, most of them Turks, and tied to an antenna with the hopes of bringing the chopper down.

Navy commandoes slid down to the vessel one by one, yet then the unexpected occurred: The passengers that awaited them on the deck pulled out bats, clubs, and slingshots with glass marbles, assaulting each soldier as he disembarked. The fighters were nabbed one by one and were beaten up badly, yet they attempted to fight back.
The IDF was expecting activists, not street fighters. They gave the terrroists too much leeway. I bet that won’t happen the next time.
During the commotion, another commando was stabbed with a knife. In a later search aboard the Marmara, soldiers found caches of bats, clubs, knives, and slingshots used by the rioters ahead of the IDF takeover. It appeared the activists were well prepared for a fight
So much for it being a “peaceful” flotilla to bring aid. Wake up people, these are terrorists (flotilla funded by a radical Islamist terror group) and they are attacking with support from Europe and the Middle East.
The administrative subpoena — a demand for information issued without a judge’s approval — is a civil, not a criminal document. If Elliott refuses to comply, the TSA could ask a judge to hold the writer in contempt.

The Obama administration suffered a bit of a legal setback this afternoon: a federal judge in California rejected the administration’s assertion of the state secrets privilege in the civil suit brought by an Islamic charity that was allegedly subjected to illegal NSA surveillance.
Just more proof that we are right, and that the left is ‘out to lunch’ on the issue of National Security, AND is a bunch of hypocrites. You do have to wonder how much effort the Obama Administration put into defending the position.
