Aw yea babeeee! It’s on! I love watching the beat-down of the Corn-shuckers. Ah good memories.

ABC Announcers Suck

It is amazing how biased the announcers are on ABC. It is clear they desperately wanted Texas to lose the Big-12 Championship. The constant demeaning commentary, mixed with crowing about how great Nebraska was; made me want to puke. Even with the terrible announcing it is still enjoyable to watch. I am running on the last leg of my battery, instead of going upstairs to charge my laptop, so I can watch all of the game.

Maybe next time the ABC idiots will stop doing the PR work for whatever player they like on Texas’ opponent adn just call the game. Yea right.

MackBrown-TexasFootball.com:

“AUSTIN, Texas — Administrators at Texas and Notre Dame have been discussing reuniting on the football field for a long period of time, and now, two of the winningest programs in NCAA history have been able to work out a four-game series beginning in 2015, the schools announced on Thursday. Texas ranks second on the NCAA all-time victory list (845) and Notre Dame is third (837).”

Sweet! I am looking forward to putting a beat down on the arrogant Irish.

The series will kickoff with Texas traveling to South Bend on Sept. 5, 2015. Notre Dame is slated to head to Austin on Sept. 3, 2016, and again on Aug. 31, 2019. The Longhorns return to South Bend on Sept. 12, 2020.

Is it cold in South Bend in Sept? Time to contact my contacts and get tickets!

Red Out Around the World – October 16, 2010 – Wear Red. Be Loud. Beat Texas. – University of Nebraska Athletics – The Omaha World-Herald:

Oh Hell No! Time for a little woodshed action for the punks from “litte Red.”

It’s on.

It’s still sweet!

Big 12 may be saved

Orangebloods.com – Remaining schools in Big 12 close to saving league:

“In a bombshell development that could bring a halt to seismic changes in college realignment, sources tell Orangebloods.com Texas is at the table with the 10 remaining Big 12 schools working on a TV deal put forth by commissioner Dan Beebe that would hold the conference together.

Texas AD DeLoss Dodds appears to have helped persuade UT president Bill Powers to hold the Big 12 together with 10 teams. If there’s consensus to the deal, and it appears there is, it could be announced as early as Monday, sources said.”

Maybe there is hope for the Big 12?

UPDATE: Gene Stallings appears to want to keep the Big 12 together. I am guessing that Missouri is now on board as well.

Orangebloods.com – SEC and A&M heating up as Beebe tries to save Big 12:

“A source close to the situation said A&M has an invitation from the SEC if it wants it. SEC commissioner Mike Slive was in College Station on Saturday meeting with A&M officials, according to sources, although A&M athletic director Bill Byrne was in Idaho. The sources said the A&M regents who favor the move to the SEC outnumber those who favor staying with longtime rival Texas in a move to the Pac-10.”

While I am a fan of the University of Texas, I also at times root for Texas A&M. Not so much in the wins and losses, or money area; it would help their stature.
